I need to rename my website, please vote.

In November I had a billing mix up with my web host. As a result, I lost the rights to www.cindygay.com (Cindi with a y). My website is still OK because I use www.cindigay.com (with two i's). Before I realized what happened, a porno site picked up my name. Just a day or so later, I saw an article on the Internet about how this is happening quite often. I haven't had the courage to visit the site (there is an opening warning about the content) so I don't know if there is (ahem...) a legitimate reason for them to pick up the name.

For the last five years I have been telling everyone that my website is www.cindigay.com and if they entered www.cindygay.com they still got to my website, so the spelling was not important. Now it is. I reserved the following names. Which do you prefer? Do you have something else in mind? I'd love to hear your ideas. Please email them to me at rugmail-blog@yahoo.com.

I LOVE how you are documenting the undertaking of such a large rug, and showing where you feel you have gone wrong, and when you know you have hit it dead on! We all have those feelings and recognitions - but most are not privy to others thoughts along these lines. I will be tuning in daily to watch your progress and continue to drool, I'm sure! :)
Your color plan is what is MAKING this rug!! What are you using for the background? It looks like a mix of browns/purples? I think that's the color i'm lusting after the most! LOL!

Having your name in your URL is definitely an asset - especially since you always have had it there.

Did you consider something like
www.hookingwithcindi.com or www.hookwithcindi.com - your is such an instructional site and you are such a big part of it, it would be a shame to lose your identity and switch to something more generic.

Anyway - that's my 2 cents worth.

Current Project

My current project is a room-sized rug, probably ending at about 7' x 9'. The final size has not been determined yet. I am currently hooking the center of the rug and will be adding at least 3 borders. The rug was inspired by oriental rugs with a center design surrounded with several borders. The motifs are casual and simple, more primitive than most orientals. The colors are ones that I love and can live with easily. The cuts I am using are #4 for the Queen Anne's lace up to a #8.5. The backing I am using is 200" wide rug warp. Yes, I am hooking wide cut on rug warp. This is the "old" rug warp and is even more tightly woven than the rug warp currently available from the Dorr Mill Store. Dorr's rug warp is my favorite backing. With the right hook and proper technique you can hook it quite comfortably. I have two cats and I find that they are either very well behaved (not likely) or the rug warp makes the difference because I have never lost a loop to one of them. Now this does not include the in-process work. The littlest one loves to grab a dangling strand and run off.
